Rain water treatment at the seaport of Naples
The seaport of Naples dates back to the greek colony in the 9th century B.C. But in the 13th century A.C. the port expanded and the city of Naples became the most populous and the most admired.
In the year 2011, 7.5 million passengers passed the port. In addition, in the same year, 22 million tonnes of cargo traffic and 64,000 movements of ships were registered.
First HAURATON was contacted only for the supply of channels because the company was not aware of the wide product range that HAURATON can offer. For the topic water treatment they had already placed products (no HAURATON) as first test facility but they had some difficulties with that and a lot of additional costs because they had received systems that had to be treated before being placed.
But then they have seen that HAURATON was able to offer separators of high quality, reliable and easy to install without additional costs for the treatment of separators and for the implementation.
Of greater importance was the obligation to install separators which comply with the regulations in force (for the production, testing and emission limits for waste water). The AQUAFIX separators exceed these requirements by far.
To ensure that rain water is treated and dewatered efficiently the following HAURATON products were used:
- 8 separators made of steel, series G, type SGK 250
- 4 separators made of steel, series G, type SGK 200
- 2 separators made of steel, series G, type SGK 150
HAURATON won this project for the following reasons:
- The professionalism and the technical preparation offered by the HAURATON employees
- Products that are according to the required standards
- Finished product with additional external and internal treatment already included
- the company did not have additional costs before and during the installation, saving time and money.
